“I forgot everything for a moment and was lost in her arms,
And then, she left…”
Last day my flat mate, Janvi’s parents visited us at our place. I met her mother and started talking, but the moment she started replying me I couldn’t stop myself and kept watching her face. I wasn’t even listening to her properly because I was lost in her voice, so calm and peaceful it was.
A place where you are living without your family members makes you feel empty inside. Suddenly when you meet someone who speaks with so much of care and love, it fills that emptiness inside your heart. After few minutes she went to the kitchen and start cooking. It was the best thing I saw that day, “maa ki yaad agayi”. I was very happy that finally I am going to have a delicious food after so long. As I really miss the food which my mother used to cook for me.
In the morning when I woke up, I saw that they were about to leave. She(mother) was in red and black saree, so beautiful. “I am very glad to meet you” she said to me and pulled my chubby cheek and hugged me. That was a feeling which I cannot express in words.
“Keep visiting us, I loved your presence” I said to her. After that they left and the door got closed.
No matter how far you are from your family, you always miss their presence especially your mother’s presence because “maa to maa hoti hai”.
