According to the India Risk Survey (IRS) report 2018, fire outbreak is the third most dangerous factor that is affecting businesses. Most of the fire accidents happened due to a short circuit. Numerous fire accidents have happened this year also. Ignoring the safety measures can cause loss of lives and property.
Recently, a fire accident happened in Anaj Mandi factory building in New Delhi where approx. 43 people died. The reason behind this accident was a short circuit. Seems like there were no fire safety measures in the factory. There are many huge fire accidents cases that has been happening in India. Lack of awareness, ignorance of safety measures, unavailability of safety measures in the buildings are some of major reasons of fire accidents.
Firefighters take lot of time to reach the spot and sometimes they cannot reach the spot because of the narrow lanes. Construction of buildings in an unorganized way blocks the path of big vehicles. Also when buildings are constructed with not enough space with other building, this causes the fire to spread more easily in a wide area.
Firefighters department should be available in every locality. So, that every building can have access to firefighters easily and quickly. During the construction of a building, one should never forget to fix fire alarm and water sprinkler in every floor and rooms. Fire extinguisher is a must to have in every house. It is the first safety step towards the fire accidents. People should be aware of how to use fire extinguisher and how to react in such a situation.
