What is ethics? It is a moral principle which tells a person what is right and what is wrong. “Galat baat…aisa nahi karna chahiye tumhe”. We all have been taught this in our life specially in our childhood. From there we start learning our ethical values. Ethics is about others. Concerning about someone or something but not about ourselves or our desires. So, when we think ethically, we actually give a thought to something or someone.
If we think little deeper, we realize that ethics is not only about others but also about goodness of an individual.
How can we decide what is right and what is wrong? Deeply thinking about moral principles and problems, we can get a right conclusion. But now a days, what modern thinkers teach is that ethics leads people not to conclusions but to decisions.
Having ethical values lead us to a respective and a satisfactory life in both professional and non-professional worlds.
“Even the most rational approach to ethics is defenseless if there isn’t the will to do what is right”. These are the lines of a Nobel Peace Prize winner in Literature, Alexander Solzhenitsyn. Here in these lines, he is giving a clear idea that if a person is not willing to follow the right thing even after knowing, then it is useless to have ethics in mind.
Tie your mind and heart with your ethical values and go for it willingly. Don’t let anything or anyone stop you!
