“It’s Diwali, you must be going to your home, right? A usual question, which is moving around in my class now a days. It’s obvious to get excited about going home after spending months away from your family and of course the food which your mom used to cook for you. Everyone in my class is counting days and their happiness cannot be measured in anything if it is about going back to your home.
For me, going home means so many things like meeting my family, meeting my friends and hanging out with them, my room which is my favourite place to live and of course the delicious food which I am not getting where I am living currently. Sadly, and unfortunately, this time, I am not going to my home because of several reasons. And if someone is asking me whether I am going to my home or not, my tears are coming out of my eyes in response to their question. I am dying to meet my old friends there, I am badly missing my brother who is crying that this Diwali there will be no one to play with him, there will be no one with whom he will have all those delicious cookies which maa will cook. I wish I could go to my home.
I am genuinely happy about my classmates that finally after such some hectic months they are going to see their family and friends. I understand their excitement and I can feel the pain of living away from home.
