12. An Undefined Bond

“You held my hand for a short while, but you hold my heart forever.”- A daughter to her father.

There is nothing in this world which can define the bond between a father and a daughter. He was never a superman for me, but a common man with an extra ordinary love and effort to make me feel the most precious gift in this world. He never expressed his feelings in his words but always in his actions. The person who taught me that the most important aim in one’s life is to be a good human being first, I call him “papa”- my father.

From not leaving my hand for a second to let me go thousand miles away alone, time flies. The person who could never spend his day without seeing his daughter’s face, is now managing to live without talking to her for many days. Responsibility teaches everything. Apart from all these complains, I am very proud of you that you are giving safety to all those fathers and their families out there to stay happy together. “A strong soldier.” So, whenever I see a father- daughter together, I feel happy. I see us, in them. So what, if we meet only for 10 days once in a year. So what, if we don’t talk much. You are, and will be my best man in this world and I will always be your best girl in this world. You are the only one who has seen me at my worst and still think that I am the best. With the growing age, I am realizing that nothing is dearer to me than you. The courage that I have, to protect myself is only because of you.
