45. Acid Attack

Updated: Mar 27, 2020

According to the reports of National Crime Records Bureau, between 2014 to 2018 there were 1,483 cases of acid attack filed. The word acid is itself horrifying enough to scare anyone. This issue of acid attack is nowadays much viral everywhere because of the newly released movie “Chhapaak”. Promotions and public activities are catching everyone’s attention. Otherwise, no one even about this issue unless and until someone’s close gets affected.

The cases of acid attack are rising every year and the justice is getting delayed. The scars of the attack remain for the whole life with the internal pain which the victim faces every day. The anger of rejection or refusal results in this type of crimes. In our country acid is easily available in any groceries. Normally at homes people use it as a cleaning agent. The point is acid is highly dangerous for everyone then why it is easily available in even small stores? Being aware with the acid crimes, people are still serious about this issue.

Not following the strict rules against acid attacks and ignoring such a big issue in the society. These are pushing such crimes in our country.
